    Common Seal: Frequently Asked Questions

    Everything you need to know

A Common Seal is an embosser that creates a raised, 3D impression on paper rather than using ink. It is used as an official seal by corporate bodies, for business branding, or as a high-end tool for art and craft projects.

We use high-quality brass plates that are engraved using advanced technology machines. This precision ensures that every press gives you a superior, crisp, and clean imprint that looks professional and elegant.

Common Seals are versatile tools used for corporate/company seals (official legal verification), branding (adding a premium textured look to stationery or packaging), and art & craft (creating beautiful raised designs on invitations and certificates).

A stamp uses ink to leave a flat mark. A Common Seal uses two brass plates to physically emboss the paper, creating a raised texture. It requires no ink and provides a professional feel that is difficult to copy.

For standard paper, our regular models work perfectly. However, if you need to emboss thicker cards or certificates, our Desk S5 and S6 models are heavy-duty and capable of handling paper weights up to 260gsm.

Yes. The mechanism is designed to provide maximum pressure with minimal effort. This ensures you get a deep, even emboss every time you press the handle.

Because Common Seals involve a precision engraving process on solid brass plates, they take longer to produce than ink stamps. We do not offer the 1-hour Express Service to ensure the engraving quality is perfect.

Even with the detailed engraving required, we work quickly. Your Common Seal is typically ready for postage within 1 to 2 working days after your order is confirmed.
